We are the future in the present!

Our Platform

In January 2017, 40 young people launched the Young Migrants Blog together with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation to share their experiences and thoughts online. The blog is so far unique in the Foundation and is on the one hand our intervention in current issues, but also our activism and networking in different places. Whether in discussion groups, at university, at school, at parties, in trade unions, in NGOs or on Instagram... we want to be visible everywhere and speak for ourselves. How do we experience the world? What moves and inspires us - and how? The blog is a space for everyday and cultural topics, as well as intersectional, feminist and capitalism-critical perspectives on migration, multiculturalism and current political debates. With this blog we participate in various discussions and become loud and visible. We speak out against racism, anti-Semitism and sexism. We take a stand for more solidarity, for an open, inklusive, pluralistic society. We are critical of the powers at be. We want to determine the debates ourselves with our own voices and contributions! Nothing about us without us! We speak for ourselves! Migration is a reality, and it’s nothing new. We want to create, adapt and adjust the vision of a pluralistic society of the many. We want a lot. And we are too young to start to lower our standards, to dream smaller dreams, because the future is ours! We are the future in the present!
